HOW IS ONLINE INFORMATION RECEIVED BY ELC?

Information is obtained by ELC through online registration, donations, outreach to potential legal and educational partners.

WHAT INFORMATION IS RECEIVED BY ELC THROUGH ITS WEBSITE?

ELC receives email addresses and mailing addresses of registrants, donors and potential partners. For donations, ELC staff has access only to the contact information that donors indicate that ELC may see, and the amount donated. ELC never has access to credit card information from donors; this and other donor information is protected according to the privacy policy of Blackbaud, ELC’s donation support provider. For those wishing to donate and withhold all contact information, the option of anonymous donations is provided.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE INFORMATION ELC RECEIVES FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS TO THEIR E-NEWSLETTER?

Information received by ELC is limited to name, email address, phone numbers and mailing address. The information is only used to provide updates regarding ELC's activities through its monthly newsletter and for fundraising purposes. The information is not used by any other purpose by ELC, and is never shared, rented or sold.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE INFORMATION ELC RECEIVES THROUGH DONATIONS?

If contact information is provided, ELC will recognize your donation with a response letter through email or mail. The contact information, if provided, is also added to our e-newsletter list, which provides an instant "unsubscribe" option on every e-newsletter release. The information is not used by any other purpose by ELC, and is never shared, rented or sold.

HOW MAY I INQUIRE ABOUT MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Should any subscriber, donor or other ELC website user ever wish to view, update or delete their data, they should feel free to contact ELC via email at yourdata@elc.org, telephone or postal mail, as indicated below. ELC will immediately update or delete contact information as requested.

REGARDING EXTERNAL WEBSITE LINKS:

On our website, ELC includes numerous links to the websites of other organizations. This does not imply that ELC has a partnership or endorses these other organizations. The organizations to which ELC links to are purely for educational purposes, as ELC believes users can expand their knowledge on relevant issues by visiting the websites of other organizations as well as ELC’s own website. ELC does not take responsibility for the privacy policies of these other websites, and by clicking a link to another website, the user acknowledges that they are leaving the ELC privacy policy and entering a new one. The user is encouraged to read the privacy policies of each website they visit.
