Development Leader Devon Kearney joins Earth Law Center

New York, NY (May 17, 2018)—Today, Devon Kearney joins Earth Law Center as Development Director.

Devon Kearney is a fundraising professional who has spent his career in the service of organizations that defend fundamental rights and advance solutions to pressing social problems. From post-September 11 threats to civil liberties at the Center for Constitutional Rights to efforts to overcome the legacy of mass human rights abuses at the International Center for Transitional Justice, he has followed a passion for building strong, creative institutions that use legal and political know-how to create a more just world.

“Earth Law Center is an organization at the forefront of creative legal thinking to protect our environment, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help them grow stronger and build a wider movement in defense of the rights of our planet,” says Kearney.

Kearney has raised some $30 million in foundation, government and individual donor revenue. 

Experienced as both a staff member and as a consultant, he has worked with over 20 nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and internationally. 

“Devon’s arrival marks a milestone for the Earth Law Center, which is growing to capitalize on its successes and expand its ability to create lasting legal protecting for our environment.
