Pooja is a Managing Attorney at Earth Law Center, where she works at the intersection of Rights of Nature law and interconnected freshwater systems, advocating for rivers and watersheds as living wholes rather than isolated bodies of water. She leads Rights of Nature campaigns for the Lough Neagh and the Una River, drawing on international legal analysis, strategic advocacy, and stakeholder mapping to align local communities, governments, and legal partners around shared goals. Her work also draws on a broad understanding of international marine law. Pooja is designing Earth Law Center's Environmental Peacebuilding initiative, supported by her role as a Visiting Scholar at Queen's University. She also co-leads ELC's pro bono legal support program for Goldman Environmental Prize winners, connecting grassroots environmental leaders with legal expertise to advance their work. She has been with Earth Law Center since 2023.
