Free Educational Curriculum for Award-Winning Short Film Last Stand: Saving the Elwha River's Legacy Forests
We are excited to share that we have developed a multiage, multidisciplinary curriculum to accompany our award-winning documentary, Last Stand: Saving the Elwha River’s Legacy Forests. Designed for elementary through college classrooms, the curriculum includes standards-aligned lessons in three subject areas (science, English language arts, and social studies) that encourage critical thinking, environmental stewardship, persuasive communication, and civic engagement. Through the exploration of case studies, discussion, creative projects, and interactive activities, students examine connections between ecosystems, communities, and policy, while learning about the cultural and ecological importance of stewarding our legacy forests.
