Hira Jaleel is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Center for Animal Law Studies (CALS), where she previously served as an Animal Law Teaching Fellow and Adjunct Professor, teaching courses on Aquatic Animal Law and Food Law. Her research focuses on international animal law, industrial animal agriculture, and aquatic animal welfare, with publications on animal law developments in South Asia. Hira co-chairs the Wildlife Law Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s Animal Law Section and serves on the board of the Aquatic Life Institute.
