Emily joined ELC in 2026 as an Associate Attorney supported by a Public Interest Fellowship award from Stanford Law School. Her focus is co-leading ELC's legal support program for Goldman Environmental Prize winners, which provides pro-bono legal services to frontline environmental defenders seeking to incorporate Earth-centric legal frameworks into their work. Emily holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and an M.S. in Environment & Resources from Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. She began working with ELC as an intern in 2024 and has worked on several projects since, including contributing to a chapter of the second edition of the Earth Law Coursebook and participating in ELC’s delegations at COP-16 in Colombia (2024) and COP-30 in Brazil (2025). Prior to joining the Earth Law Center, she clerked at the Supreme Court of Rwanda, worked on human-wildlife conflict in South Africa, and co-led the Applied Collaboration for Religion and Ecology (ACRE), where she generated scholarship on applied environmental humanities and the Rights of Nature.
