ELC partner Australian Earth Laws Alliance (AELA) has many events in 2017 based in Australia. We will update dates as they come available.

• Creating Rights of Nature Laws in Australia – a series of workshops for lawyers, academics and interested members of the community.  This workshop series will be the first hosted by AELA’s new ‘Australian Centre for the Rights of Nature’, and will be held in cities and towns around Australia during 2017.  More information will be available in early 2017.
• New Economy Conference and the launch of the New Economy Network Australia (NENA) – Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd September 2017, Brisbane.  Details will be available soon.  To join our New Economy mailing list, please email: neweconomy@earthlaws.org.au
• Peoples Tribunal for the Rights of Nature Australia – the next full hearing of the Tribunal will be held in Adelaide in either August or October 2017.  The program and cases are currently under development and more information will be available soon.
• “Inspiring Earth Ethics: Connecting Values and Action”, National Conference – 23rd and 24th November, 2017, Brisbane.  This conference will bring together people working in the fields of ethics, indigenous knowledge systems, environmental education/science, eco-psychology, deep ecology, the arts and other fields, to explore practical ways to build Earth centred ethics in modern societies. Everyone is welcome to attend. AELA is working with our ‘Exploring Ecospirituality‘ Partners, the Griffith Interfaith and Cultural Dialogue Centre, Earthlink and WiseEarth Education to host the conference. More information will be available on AELA’s website in January 2017.
