This conference call will feature Pachamama Alliance Co-founder Lynne Twist and Pennie Opal Plant, an activist for 36 years on environmental and indigenous rights. Pennie is of Yaqui, Mexican, Choctaw, Cherokee, and European ancestry and is deeply involved in promoting the Universal Declaration on the Rights of Mother Earth. Pennie will discuss the importance of the rights of Mother Earth, the revolutionary legislation the Maori people are putting forward, what's happening in North Dakota at the Standing Rock Reservation, and how to stand with indigenous people throughout the world.
